Naples Airport (NAP)

Naples-Capodichino Airport ​(in Italian and officially Aeroporto di Napoli-Capodichino) (IATA: NAP, ICAO: LIRN) It is located in the Capodichino district of Naples and partly in the municipality of Casoria.

The airport has two terminals, however, Terminal 2 is far from the airfield and is only used for charter flights. Terminal 1 is the construction for departures of regular flight passengers. Naples airport is operated by GE.S.A.C. (Società di Gestione Servizi Aeroporti Campani). In March 2003 GE.S.A.C. assumed the full management of Naples International Airport with a 40-year license, thus valid until 2043. The company that runs the airport is responsible for the management of the airport and the coordination and control of the activities of all private operators present at the airport.

Capodichino is home to a number of aeronautical companies, including Atitech, Alenia Aeronautica, Aeronavali, Tecnam Costruzioni Aeronautiche. The airport remains an air base (Italian Air Force 5th Maintenance, Repair & Review Unit – United States Navy Support Base and Air Terminal).
